McLuhan100 Then – Now – Next: International Conference & DEW Line Festival, November 7-10, 2011, Downtown Toronto

2011 marks the centenary of Marshall McLuhan’s birth. The University of Toronto, McLuhan’s home for decades, is hosting an international conference on the past, present, and future of McLuhan’s work and influence, both in Toronto and the rest of the global village.

The conference falls under the auspices of the McLuhan100 planning committee and will be held at the University of Toronto Chestnut Conference Centre in downtown Toronto. It is co-presented by The Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, York University and OCADU. It is co-sponsored by the Faculty of Information at the University of Toronto, Ryerson University, the Social Science and Humanities Research Council, Celebrate Ontario, OCAF, and the City of Toronto Economic Development and Culture Division.

It runs simultaneously with McLuhan100’s DEW Line Festival taking place in cultural institutions within Toronto. Please save the date.
