The Silliman University College of Mass Communication will host this year’s Marshall McLuhan Forum Series on Responsible Media at 10 a.m. March 13 at  its Audio-Visual Theater.

Mass Communication dean Maria Cecilia Genove said the forum will provide an avenue for the McLuhan prize winner, Eileen Mangubat, publisher and editor-in-chief of Cebu Daily News, to share her insights on the changing dynamics that the media play in covering natural disasters.

Mangubat will discuss  “Journalism in the Time of Haiyan: The Evolving Role of the Community Press in Covering Disasters”.

Members of the  panel of reactors composed of media practitioners and academicians will each give a brief reaction to the lecture.
